After you have your first LI (Legendary Item) you will note that it can only be leveled to 40. You have already learned that you need to add relics in the form of Settings, Gems, Runes, but you have not yet deconstructed any LIs, nor have you created the Relics you need for your class, or the legacies best suited to you. This may seem daunting but it is really quite simple if you follow this guide!
Talk to the Forge Master and Identify any Lis you have in your inventory. Those that are not of your class you should deconstruct immediately or save for other characters you have.
Next talk to the Relic Master.
Firstly, you will need a LI that is in your class. You can slot as many LIs as possible depending on the slots you have available. Each slotted LI will earn points and level! You may be wondering why slot items and let them level if they are not equipped?
Well, it is true that only the equipped Lis is of any immediate use to you, but those slotted Lis will level and once they are leveled they can be deconstructed to get many more relics! I suggest leveling your slotted Lis to be deconstructed to 11, 21, 31, 41, etc. You should deconstruct and slot new ones as often as possible. The Relics will accumulate. You get more relics in each 10 decimal places that you deconstruct them in.
That leads us into Relic combining. You can now build higher stat relics by combining all the relics you have accumulated from deconstructing your slotted Lis. Select Combine relics I auto-combine and do not worry about building the relics I want at this stage. Select 50, and combine tier 1 relics first until there are none left. The Combine button will go grey. Do this for each tier! Note the huge difference in stats as you get better and better relics!
Ok, now what can a Mini do with a Relic that gives Might or a Guard with a relic for Will? You are a RK and you have a tier 10 relic of might! Select Relic Melding. Click on the Meld button, select the relic you want in the tier that you have an available relic for, and click on Meld. You now have a relic you can use! Remember to create relics you also need relic shards! Save shards do not vendor them! This guide is succinct and basic, but it should get you rolling in the right direction!
