Hi all,

The Cult of the Tortoise is a group within our kin that is using the Stone of the Tortoise, which you can buy in the Lotro store, to keep a character at level 50 (for now) and do on-level content like instances. The goal was to do some Angmar instances and then move to Moria, and as we went through Moria gradually raise the level and do the instances there. My Cult character is my level 50 Guardian, Chizgard.

I haven't seen too many Cult folks on in the last month, so wanted to check in. Are any of you interested in setting up a regular Sunday or Monday night 8 PM server Cult run? Is anyone not in the Cult interested in joining in with us? Again, the goal would be to do on-level or near-on-level content, ideally with enough folks showing up to put together a Fellowship of 6.

Please post here if you are interested in joining the Cult, or are in it, and let me know what times would work for you.

We had four of us on last Sunday afternoon, so if we can get you and Rod, we'd get six. Be good to have a couple more regulars to be able to fill out the Fellowship. Let's schedule one for next Sunday whether afternoon or evening. Evening 8 PM is better for me but I may be able to make some afternoons if evenings don't work for others.

EDIT: We are on for 4 PM server time on Sunday 12/6. If you have a toon at or around 50 please join us for some fun in Angmar!

Great turnout today - we had 10 and were able to do a raid. We did two wings of Helegrod with the 10 of us and while we had to take a do-over on the second boss we were able to down him (them) the second time. More importantly, everyone said they had fun! I definitely enjoyed seeing a part of Middle Earth I'd never explored before.

If you are in the Cult, or want to join and have a character you are willing to keep at 50 for a bit, please sign up and come along on 12/13 at 4 PM server!

This Sunday, an intrepid Cult group of kinsters defeated Moridith, Lord of Carn Dum. With his defeat, only the evil in the Rift remains in the north. While we need to go south, we cannot leave the Rift and its terrors unguarded. However, the five who stormed the castle at Carn Dum will not be enough. We need at least a number to match the fellowship of the ring - nine - before we can turn south and follow the ring to Moria. Who amongst you intrepid heros can join us at the Rift?

I would be interested but I am in the UK. So I don't know if I can participate. If it is the middle of the night then I couldn't take part.

The cult meets at 4:00 PM EST on Sundays, which I believe is 9:00 PM (21:00) in the UK.

We are currently in Moria, at level 50-60. As For mentions, we run at 4 PM (16:00) server time on Sundays. Any kinfolk interested in the noted level range are welcome to join! Recent activities have included Moria and Lothlorien instances and instances/raids like Grand Stairs, Filikul, Vile Maw, and Dar Narbugud.

The Cult is currently on summer hiatus, as many of us are taking some time off Lotro due to later summer activities in the northern hemisphere.

Our next scheduled Cult run will be September 12th, though if there is interest let me know and we can try one over the US Labor Day holiday on September 5th. Looking forward to seeing all you Cultists back in September!
